my cousin is in the airforce, and my sister-in-law is in the army. my sister-in-law is always complaining about having idiots as superiors, and my cousin is always complaining about general b.s. and people not caring about their job. i would suggest you see the airforce recruiter first, if you are serious about this. one thing to keep in mind though, is that most recruiters only see you as a number, and so they will do anything to get you to join, including lying. also, once you're in, they don't care what happens to you. my cousin lost like a couple of weeks of vacation cuz his recruiter wouldn't fill out and return a form he sent him. and i'm pretty sure the same thing happened to one of my other friends. also, i've talked to people who had recently gotten out, and they all said it was a big adjustment to go back to civilian life.
to join any armed force, you need to be able to take a lot of mental abuse, and you have to be able to deal with idiots without losing your temper.
