JDM import

i am just wondering if anyone knows anything about problems or common problems that might come with a JDM civic, i am thinking about buying a 93 SIR from tyeeimports but i have read that imports from japan can come with frame problems but it said nothing further about it, so if anyone knows about some of the problems that commonly occur with jdm civics please let me know.

just some advice, i would check with your local laws as far as importing and what needs to be done. ive never heard anything bad about jdm imports but i havn't heard much about them period

Yeah check with your local laws, JDM cars have a much higher emission standard then us cars and their is some swapping of parts you will need to do to make it pass our emissions in the states. Not sure exactly what it consists of but i know their is some problems and not able to just register it as normal.
