LS Swap Shopping

Going to go look at a 95 LS swap in person, possibly this weekend. Just wondering what you all would make sure is legit and intact before making this guy an offer? Don't wanna buy a bunk swap. <_< I know the whole compression test routine, but I'm gonna be replacing the rods/pistons eventually, and possibly resleeving. Just a block # or the engine code stamp? and tranny tips? Thanks.

check the oil. its a good test of how long its been sitting. the longer, the worse in most cases.
look for corosion on sensors
cracked plugs
cracked distributors
etc

and it says b18b1 and s80 on the tranny
