i was wondering if i was to make an ls/vtec in my 91 hatch with a b16a1 would it make adiffernce if i used a obd0 or obd1?? i see alot of people using the b18b in these swaps instead of the b18a. so i was just wondering if there was any difference in the two???

in stock form an obd1 ls will have more power then an obd0 ls. obd0 has 130, obd1 has 140. as far as an lsvtec, i couldnt tell ya. obd1 is more efficient... however.

the answer is NO....the only difference in A/B motors are the cams...once you put the vtec head they will be the same.....and obd1 was more efficient because of tuning possibilities... thanks to obd0 emss' like turbo edit i say stay obd0.....but thats my opinion....any one can correct me if i'm wrong

yea, you're right. but you must be one of those guys who thinks all 90-93 integras are obd0 right? well, the 90-91's are, 92-93's are OBD1 as is the case with all honda's

88, 89, 90 and91 obd0
92, 93, 94 and 95 obd1
96, 97 and 98 obd2a
99 and 00 obd2b

wrong again buddy...92 and 93 integras were still obd0...how do you say?? cus for one..my clutch/tranny is CABLE..which was only used by honda between the ob0 years..for 2...my ls motor is a 92...and theres no way u can use your STOCK HF harness to wire up a OBD1 motor or ecu..and wait...the pr4 im using...Get this..it plugged RIGHT UP to my stock harness...so go figure...

dont be a smart ass about shit...i know my shit about on board diagnostics.
[post=]Quoted post[/post]

dude, youre wrong. plain and simple. 90/91 integras a OBD0 and 92/93 are OBD1. it doesnt make a fuck if its cable or not the transmission doesnt have an OBD preference i suppose you cant use a cable tranny on a OBD 2 motor huh?. go ahead and check here https://hondaswap.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=29825 or better yet go on honda-tech and make a post "all B18A's are OBD0" and watch everyone tell you how stupid you are.

CABLE vs HYDRO is NOT obd. lol

there are cable obd1 cars in the 92 and 93 tegs.

oh, and you just got owned by a neon owner :p

lol

I'm trying to do a mini-me swap myself with a d16y7 dx bottom end and bought a sohc vtec motor(d16a1) then got the head and put it on the dx block but i find out the vtec solenoid is only one wire? and i look up the engine code and it comes from an integra and its DOHC NON-VTEC. anyone know what the hell kinda motor i bought? its palinly obvious a single came and obvious it has vtec... but yet the tranny says d16a1? someoen told me it was some rare jdm motor? anyone know?
