if i put a b18b motor in my 94 civic cx but i change the tranny to the type r do i have to use type r ecu or can i use the stock b18b ecu. maybe a stupid question but im somewhat new at this so thanks for the help!!!

Transmission choice has no link to the ECU required in a Honda manual transmission setup...

So- choose your ECU by your engine, not your transmission.
