LSVEC B16 & B18 parts question??

Me and my cuz are gonna start the project. We have a complete B18B1 and a B16A with a rod stickin out the side. Can we use the water pump and B16 crank,piston,rods(new)? Would that give up the high reving motor that a stock B18 wont do?

As far as i know any B series parts are compatible. if i were you I would take the pistons and robs from the b16. put them on the ls crank, throw your vtec head on, and go. but yeah all b series parts are interchangable as far as i know
