I'm guessing that the key wasn't properly sized. I've got my Mech design book open from engineering school, and that is by far the most likely cause of failure. It's either that, or the key you used wasn't made of key stock, but some other inferior material. The belts would have to be really tight to cause failure that quickly. Considering how strong keystock is, I doubt that caused it.
word..my alt. belt on my crx was so tight i had to cut it off because the alt. was bending from not bein able to be adjusted..and my key was fine.

Well, already trashed that idea. I think the reason I was going to do it is because I was frustrated with the look of the paint at the moment. But.. I decided to pop and buy one of these:The duckbill is ugly imo.
Just get a CF stock spoiler. It'd look pretty good with your fresh paint.
:w3rd:id get the cf duckbill i think they look sick..it would def. flow nice with your paint as well
Definetly love an EK hatch with a duckbill. CF or otherwise.
