They're finally releasing these on Blu-Ray soon. No word yet on whether they'll be the originals or the shitty Special Editions with all the shit CGI'd in to the background everywhere...
 
Knowing George Lucas they'll probably be updated Special Editions with even more stupid shit CGI'd into the backgrounds... :shrug2:
 
i own the originals on tape. still watch them from time to time.
as you stated brutal, the blu rays will likely be "remastered" editions of the originals. :(
