ok I have a 2002 Civic EX and I got a muffler. i'm looking to buy a mid-section and i found one for a 2000 civic ex. now correct me if i'm wrong but wouldnt it also fit a 2002 civic? thanks!

What do you mean by mid section? The Cat-Back pipe minus the muffler?
If so... no.. the 2000 is still 6th gen. 2001+ are the 7th Gen's.

The 2001 should work. They are the same car in most, if not all aspects.
I'm not sure if they changed anything in the 7th gen's.
