hey, i decided to sell my b18a1. and picked up a d15b with a y8 head.
(mini-me $200)

what will i need to drop that motor into my 99 civic. it had a d16y8 motor but it blew.

so should everything just be plug-in? I'm going to re-use my y8 dizzy.

everything but the knock sensor.... crank pos. sensor...
and alternator plug.

i recommend using the y8 alt.
you will get CELs for the other, don't know how well it will run. crank pos is kinda important...
the good news is you can use your y8 distributor.

a y8/y7 oil pump.
but, i don't know if it will fit a d15b7 block.
then you will have two dipstick holes...
also, some people have drilled and tapped their block for the knock sensor.
watch where the metal shavings go if you try that.
or, depending on what state you live in you could do an obd1 swap.
get a p28 ecu and an obd2b/obd1 conversion harness.

i think OBD1 has it in the distributor. not the oil pump.
and doesn't use a knock sensor

for obd1, use the d15b7, or td-41u distributor.
