i have 450cc injectors and an areomotive fuel pump, i also have all titanium valves and springs. will the ngk iridium plugs be ok. and i have a motec engine managment i will still loose power????? ah the questions of nitrous!
Yes, run a wet direct port nitrous kit, running a big shot you need to evenly distribute the fuel/n2o, you could actually run a 2-250 shot, if all assembled correctly, the primo set-up would be to get a duel stage n2o kit, this kit lets you adjust nitrous volume in stages. 250 shot is alot off the line, even w/ some M/H's. So you would break it up, say 100 off the line then have the other 150 kick in the middle of 2nd gear, or how ever youd like to break it up, its adjustable. With the correct tuning there should be no reason to blow up that being the plus of a e.m.s, motec. w/ the ability to adjust fuel curves, air/fuel mix and ect. theres alot more potential to be shown with this kinda set up. At this time it sounds like the motec maybe a lil over kill, just opinioni have 450cc injectors and an areomotive fuel pump, i also have all titanium valves and springs. will the ngk iridium plugs be ok. and i have a motec engine managment i will still loose power????? ah the questions of nitrous!
i meant valve springs not valves and springs sorry, no kool-aid right now. whats wrong with the injectors should i be running bigger ones?
"Zex is a great kit also", I just thought for a 13:1 compression, "built" motor" like this, obviously costing some $$, running a shot like 75-100 would be kinda a waste. Given that any B series is capable of this,, stock! w/few items like a fuel pressure regulator, inline fuel pump and some colder N.G.K's. "Im just saying that, if the motors built, like I would a 13:1 powerplant, a 100 shot would just be teasing it." Back on track though, both of these options being good ones, it being up to what you would be comfortable having, saying yeah, the ZEX probably being a little less maintenance. ^_^Depending on your build, the size jet you plan on using when spraying (I.E., single fogger, one jet for fuel, one jet for Nitrous). 250 shot on a honda engine is far from the norm. My all motor lsvtec had rc 310's in it and that was just all motor. I recommend the Zex kit for you. Spray 75-100 shot with it tuned for the nitrous. Tuning is key. You need to run colder plugs which Zex sometimes provides you. Their module will take care of the timing while spraying as well as monitor the a/f ratio for lean conditions. Bottom line, its safe and easy. Also as specified earler by Reikoshea, the rings have to be gapped more for nitrous. Exact specifications I do not have, but do some research and contact Zex and they will supply all the information you will need.
