its very easy to convert...obd2 is just like obd1 but the plugs are put together to make 1 plug
haha, i can see my have been confusing to the question...im converting my 91 rex, b20 vtec, to obd1 from obd 0, i have all that i need, conversion harness, 02 sensor, distributor, and fuel injectors, however, the distributor is from a 99 SI which is obd2 and the injectors are from a 97 jdm ITR...i was wonder, since the distribuotr is obd2, will it still work, and what needs to be done to make it work, then somone responed that the wires are the same but in differenent plug locations, so i asked if they are the same color from the distributor to the plug, or, if this is worng, what needs to be done, and will the obd 2 fuel injectors work without any problem/conversion....phew...thanks!!!
OBD2 injectors will work on an OBD1 ECU just fine.
You will probably need bigger injectors if you plan on revving that motor at all - stock ITR injectors run 95%+ duty cycle in a 1.8L let alone a 2L.
The cheap upgrade is to use DSM 450s and a resistor box - under $100. You will definately need the ECU chipped if you decide to go this route. There are decent 2L vtec bins on pgmfi for 450s... My homie Nick posted his for sure I know.
The other popular upgrades are 290CC saturated from either RC or a 97-01 Prelude H22. Also RC make a 310cc saturated. Also, 92-95 H22A preludes use 310cc P+H (resistor box). You can also get any turbo 4cyl ford (probe, capri, etc.) for 330cc peak+hold. Auto DSMs are 390cc P+H.
I can't answer your question on the distributors off the top of my head. I have a 99 Civic and 95 civic helms manual just for that reason...

ludegirl, do yourself a favor and get bigger injectors NOW before you start tuning the car because you'll find that with the tunability of a hondata, you'll really need them. You'll thank me later.

310s are starting to sound better you could probably hold a 8500 RPM redline at clsoe to stock fuel pressure and not be killing your injectors.

Dave, Probe and Capri XR2 are repackaged Mazdas; actual turbo Fords, meaning the 2.3T cars, ran 35 lb/hr aka 350cc injectors. No idea what the CVH powered Escort EXP got.
Also, I've seen conflicting reports on auto DSM injectors being 350cc and 390cc, know of anyone who's flow tested them?
