Oil Change

Time for the first oil change on my rebuilt Mini Me. Regular 5w30 or Mobil 1 synthetic 5w30? The origional oil put in was non synthetic.

If the engine is broken in, I think it's after 2000kms that you can safely switch to synthetic. Let one of the more experienced people chime in and tell me if i'm right or wrong.

break-in with dyno oil (ie, new piston rings).

just a head swap, there's no break-in requried, so go right to synthetic. mobil 1 is far from the best. just about any synthetic will do.

Block was just done before I bought the car so I just took it easy for awhile.

Alright, sounds good. Now I can crack open my blue filter too.
