p28 vs. p30

I have a b16a1 and I am trying to do the wiring I was wondering if the p28 and p30 ecus have the same pinouts??? Also If there are any differences in the two ecus?

same pinouts since they are both obd1 ecus the difference is the fuel mapping and the knock sensor which is meant for the dohc the p28 is for a sohc vtec and the p30 is for the dohc vtec

p30 and p28 are identical pinouts. the p30 has 1 extra, for the knock.

if you can, run the p30. it will give you much better fuel map, correct vtec activation points, and was frnakly, designed for that motor.

does the same thing apply for a b18c5 motor...cause im running a p28... and it works fine... but does the p30 give more hp?

you're running an unchipped P28? ideally, if it's an OBD 2 car you should be running a P73

otherwise, you're losing power on a stock P28
