I would love to lower it, i was talking about that with Brian when he came over...I was looking at a kit but it don't look like the price could possibly be right,

What do you think

C4 lowering Kit

No way. NOTHING for a corvette costs $40.

Besides, would you tamper with that beautiful cornering with just any shit, budget kit? Hell no.

That's why there are Mustangs.

nice vette, this girl I used to date has one that looks like that, it has z06 rims on it though.

Thanks..
z06 rims on a c4? I can't imagine how that would look. I'm not a big fan of those rims, my dad has them on his 99, i like the 2000 Vette rims those are nice

<shrug> I guess thats the kit to lower it...Madirect is a huge corvette dealer in the USA...i order almost everything from them...they know their stuff unlike Ecklers

I loved the functionality of the 1984 rims. Of course, I'm an old-school kinda guy.

Unlike Ecklers? Bold Statement.

I used to run my CRX with the Vette group in Colorado, and they are a bunch of fun guys. Maybe you could look them up, they ran a Corvette specialty shop in Colorado Springs, on Dealer Row.

boost > displacement.

83k is nothing.

ohh, wait, its a chevy... i forgot.

200k club on both my cars :)

A Chevy 350 is very tough. It's the rest of the car that will fall apart around that engine. I've seen 300k on a 350, with no major engine work done.

Please, do us Corvette afficionados a favor... ditch the chromies and lower it.

I know lowering it will cost you $2000 in parts, but stop making us look bad :)

I love C4s.

Eh...lower it, but keep the rims.

Now that I have stopped laughing, I thought I would give my OPINION!

I must say I love Corvettes, they are the mark of american automotive excellence. I am especially fond of the early 60's models, one in particular would be the 63 Sting Ray split window. There's something about an american V8 that you've got to love, 427 CI with 400+ ponies, pretty damn hard to beat (I don't mean in a race necessarily). As I have read many times on HondaSwap, theres no replacement for displacement, which is why we "ricers" opt for the B18 or B20. That being said, I must now say, I am an import guy all the way, especially Honda. First no other make is more reliable. Chevy, Ford, Chrysler... can try all they want, they can't compete. Second, as Loco was eluding to, I think, is that s 2.0L motor than can't produce 300, 400, 500+ ponies is hell-a impresive. I mean think about it, the same B18* that gets upwards of 30 mpg, comes stock with 185+ ponies. Spend $1K-$2K and now you have 350+ HP, and still get near 30 mpg! The great thing is I can spend $10K tops including buying the car to accomplish this. I have to spend $20K on the low end just to buy the Vette. Though it is egually impressive to take that same 427 V8 and pump out well over 1000hp (yeah I know they can only go in straight line), But if I'm not mistaken the big block chevys and hemi-big blocks produce 6K ponies in top fuel. 1/4 mile in >5 sec at 300+ mph.

I guess what I am saying is both imports and domestics are impressive in there on right, as far me if I had choice between a Corvette or NSX, I choose the NSX (assuming equal price), F1 inspired! Hell yeah!

hehe The NSX is like 90k and a Corvette z06 is 50k and its also faster and handles better...

As Far as spending 20k on a vette, i guess depending on the year yea, but my 1994 Vette was 15k and you can easly get them cheaper, and add a Supercharger for 6k installed or a 383 stroker for 6k installed and get you get 380-425 rwhp, You can pick up a 1992 Lt1 corvette for like 10k , add a SC or 383 and now you got a 16k car that will run low to mid 11's possbily street tires and pump gas..high 10's on race fuel and yes those numbers are correct, look at corvetteforum.com...those guys are serious about there cars with track time sheets and dyno sheets posted...

Yeah imports are great cars..i have a 1991 Toyota 4 Runner with 226,000+ on the orignal motor and that thing is going to easily get another 100k...I love Imports..if i didn;t Like Vettes so much i'd be driving a new Rx8...or a 1999 3000gt Vr4 Spyder...But The small block 350 is a tough engine...you'd have to do some serious pounding on that thing to bring it down...as Far as other Chevys like the caviler or small class american made cars forget about it, they are no match for the imports they are slower and not made nealy as well....and lack sporty interior and style

O and Brian, you win, I'm going with the Procharger from ATI at J & M performance ..That guy Mike up there really knows his shit and I was impressed with what he had to offer and say, compared to other shops who offered no info at all....So i am calling him Tuesday to get this going..383 stroker is way to much downtime 1+ months....plus i can alsy do that later along with some Head work and Lt4 HOtcam swap and LT4 intake manafold....

Just thought i would through these stats on the NSX Vs Corvette Z06..Where does the Extra 40k cost play in on a slower less maneuverable car with worse gas mileage

Z06 12.5 vs NSX 13.7 in the 1320

Corvette > NSX.

Not going to argue your numbers. No point. But I still like the NSX. As far as $, that's why I put in () assuming equal price, otherwise I would have to go with the 3000gt VR4 or Supra TT. But hell if all liked the same car, this world would suck and we might as well drive brown Pintos at 30mph. Actually if had say $20-25K to spend I would def. get a Porsche it would likely be 15-20 years old for that $$ but they're still sweet rides. And be sides it's a PORSCHE.

I see your getting the SC. Nice! Hope you saved for several sets of new rears, with that SC, you will be eating rubber like crazy, hehe! Have fun!

hehe, yeah, I better not burn them to fast, Vette tires are freaking $$$$$$$$$$

I got no gripe on the NSX its a phat looking car, i'm just wondering where the 90k price tag comes from on a car thats actualy performs like regular Vette, not even a Z06, or a Mustang Cobra. I mean for 90k you can get a Porsche turbo <shrug> Cars cost to much!!!! Lets all get Supcharged and Turbo Hotwheels!!!

O My God B, It took me three hours l0l, Without the flush or removing the radiator(it was flushed last summer) It was so dam dusty....about 35% of the radiator was covered....then i left my lights on the whole three hours and my Battery died....Sweeet...Now my car is nice and prepped for the Procharger for next week <<<--------Siked!!!!! :woo:
