Power Steering Rack

Is it true if you remove you power steering belt, and run no power steering that in time because power steering fluid is not circulating in the rack. That eventually the rack with become faulty or damaged.

no I think it is just if you don't have liquid in the system because it lubricates the steering system and the liquid moves when the steering wheel moves

I would tend to agree with this statement, although oil that doesn't move would break down quicker. I don't know how long it would last.
