ok instead of being a dick head...maybe i already tried that....i live in Syracuse no one and i mean no one carries anything about preludes.....yes i already researched my car i jus need torque specs and shit....and all the honda performance books say is what each performace upgrade does to the car not torque specs damn...
First off, that's bullshit. I don't care what hick f-ing town you live in, if you have an Autozone/Advance/Pepboys/whatever in your town then you can go there and by a Haynes or Chilton manual. They cost around 10-20 bucks, and they will give you detailed instructions on how to disassemble pretty much any part of your car and they list all of the torque specs for everything.
Now I'm not saying buy your parts from those stores, I'm just saying you can get a damn repair manual with torque specs and all the other info you need from them!
And as evidenced by the fact that you're posting on an internet forum, then you are also capable of ordering a repair manual from Ebay or the Haynes or Chiltons or Helms websites if the parts stores in your area truly don't have it (which I very much doubt).
Look, I live in Metro Detroit, where imports aren't looked on very kindly at all, and even so, all the parts stores have repair manuals for import cars, most of them even stock import tuning magazines and performance books, so if I can get them, then I know you can...
Second, like the other guy said, most any part that you take off and replace with a performance part is going to use the same torque specs as the original, so a repair manual is all you really need to do bolt ons by yourself.
As for where to buy parts from, I usually buy from Ebay or from the websites importrp.com and modacar.com. That's where I've found the best deals on stuff so far, but I'm sure there's other places that have decent prices.
Third, I didn't mean to come off like an a-hole, but go read your first post again. You come to this site as a total noob, and then basically asked for an entire write up on how to swap your engine, plus a write up on how to change your head gasket, plus a shitload of other questions!
That kind of stuff has been covered a million different times on a million different websites, you just have to do a little searching (or reading, like in a repair manual or performance handbook, hint hint). Don't expect somebody on here to write you a full performance handbook for your car. Do the research first, and then if you have specific questions, come here and ask.
And by the way, the performance handbooks are not worthless. I don't know which ones you've seen, but I've seen one that specifically walks you through a ton of different Honda engine swaps. Can't remember the title at the moment, but they're definitely worth looking into.
And fourth, why do you want to put an H22 clutch on a H23 transmission?? I think a better option would be to swap the entire transmission over to the H22 version, which is geared shorter.
Que pasa?
