Removing Head

I plan on removing my head to clean up Carbon Build up. Are ther any gaskets (besides the headgasket) that are NOT able to be reused? Is it better to buy a full Head gasket kit, or can i just buy a head gasket? Im on a pretty tight budget until i get another side job. thanx

just head gasket is fine if you leave the intake mani on the head.
