YOU'RE FUCKED
there really are about a hundred things that that could be
*distributer ( yes they do have aftermarket ones---> MSD)
*igniter/ignition coil ( same stalling problem happened with mine but no wierd idle)
*Distributer Cap
*Spark plugs
*Spark plug wires
*fuel injectors
*your fuel pump
* or you may be totally fucked and it could be your ECU

When I had something like that happent to my 96 civic it turned out to be the plug wires. I know its not much help but thats all i got.

I can be any of a million things but another easy thing to check is vaccum, If you have a siginficant leak the the engine will run like your describing

Interesting .. I've not looked into my spark plug wires too much. I've replaced both my PCV valve and my PCV valve hose (which had a hole in it) .. but it was to no avail. The idle problem continues.


Anyhow, my rev limit is still awkard, but I'm replacing my distributor cap and rotor ..and we'l see what that does. Any more information would be of great help.
