i know this is probably a nooby question but whats the difference between shocks and struts? if i were to get new shocks, would i have to get new struts too? or is it just one or the other?
they're the same thing, except they have different attachment thingies on the ends. a strut has something that looks like a two-prong bracket. a shock has something that looks like a big eye hole at the end. pardon my lack of technical wording. im doing my best you just need to know which ones you need. for example, on alot of civics its shocks up front and struts in the rear.
they are basicly two ways of talking about the same part (orriginally they meant different things but they have pretty much blended together over time)
if you get suspension that is made for your car it doesnt matter what you call it its still going to be for your car
