I just got done on ebay. Found me a short shifter for $1.99. So now that I got this short shifter. How do I put it in? Will I need any extra parts? What tools will i need? How many hours will this take?

Take off your shift linkage, remove the old shifter, and put the new one in....just make sure not to put it in backwards....I did that once . If you have a helms manual, it is REALLY easy to see how the SL comes apart.
