Starting RPM

Is it normal on the sir2 to jump to 2500 rpm then settle when you first start the car? It just seems a little high.

How long does it stay at 2500? If it just goes up there and comes right back down to idle dont worry about it.

Well it jumps to 2500 then drops down right away to like 1800 then continues to drop. Then after i drive it, it idles around 500 which i think is normal.

Should turn your idle up to 7-800 normally, thats usually factory spec. If it takes under a minute to get down to normal idle I wouldn't sweat it. I know a lot of cars idle high when they are cold just to aid in warmup.
