Hi all.
Well, it's been a while since I have had a chance to really log on here and talk to anyone or comment. My plan was to log on here, let you guys that I missed you (well, some of you anyway ) and update everyone on what's been going on as of late. Needless to say I just found a second to log on and well, here's what's been going on lately...
The past few months have been quite tumultuous. I have been working two jobs since May first and wow, it seems like I barely have any time to breathe nowadays. It's not so bad job wise, since I do like my second job, but wow...it's been really tough to really do anything. Things are bad so yeah, instead of whining about my problem I decided to get a second job and help things out. I've run into a numerous of unfortunate car problems as of late too. My EK hatch has had every single seal, grommet and gasket replaced on it's Y7. I figured that I had better have a reliable daily driver while working on my EG. Well, the rear brakes are shot now and need to be replaced. haha My poor EG is another story. I had just replaced the head gasket a few weeks ago since it kept on overheating and the passengers side CV joint, since I had a spare and this Friday...wow...the unexpected happened.
As I was getting on the 417 (a highway in Florida for all of the non-Floridians) I heard a loud clunk. Mind you I heard this same clunk when coming down my friends driveway and figured it was my suspension. (the suspension is one of the many things that need to be replaced on my EG) Since the rear struts bottom out often I really did not think much of it. When going down the street to the stop sign it clunked again. I looked at my friend and said "since we have to get there, I will just drive it carefully." Not half a mile from the house I get on the off-ramp, pass the toll plaza and sssssssscccccccrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaappppppppppeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! My car loses total control and pulls completely to the right. Thank GOD that the express pass lane (or pre-paid tolls lane) is on the right. Otherwise I would have most likely hit the car which was behind me going in the other lane. I end up on the side of the road stunned (at this point I think I may have shit myself just a little bit), looking at my friend, wondering what the fuck just happened. Well, this is what happened....
