Update on me

Hey everyone. Not sure if anyone remembers about me having a really bad accident back in July. I've been doing my best to take care of myself and going to the doctor. I've had a few MRIs since then and my brain is in really bad shape. I have a 4mm big tumor on my left side that goes behind my left eye. It keeps me saying and spelling words hard, have headaches (luckily not migraines) and is about to affect my seeing (even tho I already wear glasses). I have talked today to one of the best neurosurgeon doctors in the USA that's at UVA here in Virginia. She is gonna tell me when it's gonna be done on the first week of January as I requested to spend Christmas with my family. The surgeon is gonna take 8hrs to do and I will be in the hospital for 4-7 days then will be on short turn disability for up to 12 weeks to cover. I just ask that everyone thinks good things and keep me in thoughts and prayers. I highly appreciate everyone and hope people think about me and my family. Love you guys and feel free to message me. Thanks for letting us know what's going on. I sincerely hope that everything goes well, and your recovery is fast and easy. Medical procedures have come a very long way from what they were even just a few years ago. Be strong, we are all rooting for you. Enjoy your holidays, spend time with your family and friends, try not to stress about the procedure. It sounds like you have a great team handling that part, let them handle it.
Remember to embrace the things you can do, and celebrate that, rather than dwelling on what you are unable to, or struggle with. Those things will come back with time, keep your spirits high, it makes a huge difference on your recovery.

Damn, Bri. Sorry to hear this, but you got the right attitiude. Half of getting through the shitty medical stuff is keeping the positive attitude and will to come out on the other side better than you went it. Don't ever give up. I know you won't.

Sounds like this tumor may have been pressing on something which caused your stroke and thus the crash. As bad as it sounds, it may have been the best thing to happen as they were able to find it now instead of way too late. Things happen in weird ways.

You got all of us supporting you from afar and i think it's awesome to see the other members around willing to step up. Love you HS fam.

Thanks everyone for thinking of and keeping me in a good mood!! I'm trying to be normal for a while so I can feel positive. I will find out when the surgery will happen on Dec. 18th when I do my pre-surgery meeting with the Doctor doing the surgery. Her name is Dr. Mut in UVA hospital if anyone see how good she is. Right now figuring out words to say that I know what I wanna say just feels like it's getting worse a day. I know after the surgery is gonna take a while to fix but I know that it's gonna affect my mentality being not as good as it was before...lol. anywho so when I'm gonna recover I plan on starting a side business making stuff on my 3d printer so I won't be able to do much else. Lol. I gotta keep from being bored. Anyway, thanks for having good thoughts about me wishing me luck!!
