V6 Accord..........h22 97 Prelude

i was wondering if a somewhat-gutted 99 v6 accord could take on a 97 honda prelude vtec????? The prelude hasn't had any weight reductions...

At the track last year, I beat a V6 Accord running bolts ons with my H22 in my Accord (also bolt ons) by a full second. That's also up at 6000 feet above sea level, so I imagine the margin would have been more at sea level.

If that V6 was somewhat gutted, it might be closer. But I still think the Prelude would win, seeing as it has the same hp numbers (with less torque though) and a close-ratio 5-speed tranny.

No problem.

Also forgot to mention that the Prelude is lighter than the newer-gen Accord (especially V6's) by about 200 pounds. So the weight reduction would only equalize things on the weight issue.
