vtec not engaging

i changed my cams today put gsr cams in a b16 vtec is not poping like it uzed 2 wat could be the problem ??? i think itz the vtec solenoid

vtec solenoid, proper oil prssure, and engine temp are required for vtec to engage.

are you throwing a CEL? if not, it's not the vtec solenoid. if it was bad, it would throw a code.

all motor or Forced induction?

Plus Vtec dosent Pop, crack, kick in, or slam you back into your seat. Vtec is suposed to be smooth.

i took the car out today and it waz hittting vtec but not really noticable... soundz more like an ls... could it b the timing is offf the distributor was played with and the kid that put the gsr cams in i dnt think it waz excactly tdc im gonnna re time everything and seee if thats the problem

yeaa check engine light is on i gotta get the codes for it i think its from my throttle body and intake manifold i changed them 2

pull the codes. then come back with your issues. it'll be easier to help you that way.

go to the honda forum and select the right section for your thread and look on the horizontal selections Forum tools has a 'start a new thread'...pretty easy from there.
