Check out the description and pics of the hatch

The rear logo looks authentic enough.. If you think it's a rebadge and some sorta rice let us know. If you've seen one, let us know

nope they werent made before 92. its def BS and just look at the badges they are totally different from the honda to the cx u can tell just by that

umm, why would anyone put a cx badge on their car? cx is like the bottom of the line model...

a Good ED (EF is second gen CRX) is tough to find. So many people for one reason or another just consider them retarded little brothers of other Civics.

They are all either really beat or really riced out. I know of maybe, two other EDs that look better than mine.

A real EF is actually a Japanese Car, we dont have EF's here. We have ED's. And TPP, the Civic came in Si, STD, DX and HF trims. Even CRX's are ED's.

CX is a Canadian only model for the ED chassis... Like the SiR up north was the Si's Canadian brethern.

The ED hatch is like a red-headed step child of the Honda world. So many people just WANT to beat on them that it's become impossible to find a good one.

Luckily, I know the original owner of this car, a Japanese fellow who considered the car differently than an american. He appreciated the car and outside of the small dent on the door, did a good job keeping it up.

You are SO wrong :). No country had an HF Civic. Look at the VIN of 2nd gen CRXs - They are EFx... and the 4 doors are ED as well. My car is ED6, with SiR Civics I know being ED9 and US Sis are ED7 ( I THINK.. I have only noticed one Si's VIN)

Thanks for the clearification. I'm looking into a 90 Civic Sedan what would the chassis code be on that? It's a DX. to better clearify, the HF only came as a CRX trim? Cool, thanks.

Yeah, the HF came as a CRX, but the parts compatibility is the same as any Honda from that gen.
The HF will have aluminum rear drum brakes, roller head and DPFI. The Trans will bolt up to the D16 and will give you some funky gears. the 88 HF has longer gears throughout the gearbox, and the 91 has specialised gears (Short first and second, normal 3rd, 4th is higher than 1:1, and 5th is very long).

Nothing on the Sedan will fit the Hatch or CRX - In terms of body. Even through the front end of the car, the panels are all different. Same for mirrors and interior bits. You can make all of it fit, but some fabrication will be in order.

The 90 Sedan has the same gauge cluster and wiring as the 90-91 Civic, and the mirrors are compatible (So if you get one without a passenger mirror, a Civic mirror will bolt in, the CRX mirror will need modding) (I am currently running a 91 Civic hatch with 1988 CRX side mirrors, and the mirrors stretch WAY out to the sides, and it's tough to get the mirror facing in to see the door... just the way I like it)

The Gauge clusters and interior panels are different from 88-89 than they are found in 91-92. Zenki and Kouki.

The Sedans are totally different in handling than their Hatchback counterparts, and the trunk on a sedan is useless.

Ok, so I was incorrect about CRX's being ED's. They are EE's, EF's, and EC's. I don't own one, so I don't know, firsthand.

How else am I "SO WRONG" here?

CRX's are Civic's. I made that clear in my first post. Del Sol's are Civic's, in the same fashion.

Civic's in the US came as STD, DX, and Si trims.
CRX's came as DX, HF, and Si.
Sedan's came as DX, LX, and EX.

The box my SiR spoiler had "EF9 SiR" and some kanji something or others written on it... That was proof enough for me that the SiR in JDM land is in fact, an EF9.

What more do you need to know?

Toshi wasn't the original owner...he bought it from somebody in the papper....then he had to leave and sell his car uber cheap...you just got lucky it was as nice as it is....

The hf is mpfi.

A hatch back mirror will not fit on a 90-91 sedan. I tried.
