What should I do?

My hope for this car is just to have lots of fun with my friends. My friend Alex and I like to race on shitty little backroads, but I always get my ass kicked. So I thought a few more horses would be in order. I just want a little more cheap reliable power. Oh yeah and I have to use this car for everyday driving.

cheapest way out for what you want would probly be to just throw a bottle on it... spend the rest on suspension upgrades and an exhaust brakes would be a good idea too... then start saving for a swap

I have swapped a DOHC engine in my civic '89. Total cost $550 i think but i did the swap alone.
