wheel bearings?

A couple of weeks ago i noticed while driving my eg hatch that when i braked i heard a vibrating noise coming from the front passenger side, I thought maybe i needed an alignment. Well it has gotten to the point that sometimes while just driving i hear it. So i jacked up the car and noticed that when i push on the tire wall the wheel can move left and right a little bit. Is that the wheel bearings going out? And if it is do i just need to get them re packed or do i have to replace more?

If its a constant metal rubbing/grinding noise when just normally driving, then yes its your wheel bearings most likely.

If its only when you brake, it could be warped rotors.

If its the bearing, get it replaced.

I know that it is not warped rotors cause i know people who have had that and it is not the same symptoms.
