Matt has 195/45s and I have 205/50s and we both notice better handling with mine. Can't freaking wait for tire swap. Ordered ball joints for the Civic hubs I'm using too. Will soon be handling nicely and I still can't decide on wheel color, going to spend $1 a min for beadblasting still then go from there.
:) grippy time

Yees is goood.

I def want to see how well those 205s fit under there. What wheels are you putting those on? (width/offset)

Double0: Str8 pipe ftw's.

Did a 10w30 Mobil 1 oil change right before that video, it doesn't seem to burn oil 6k+ anymore. :) Cost $116 for 2 jugs though.

Today I got ready for the new tires: Stock EF Si knuckles = 1" lower than my Integra knuckles.

Took dust rings out to fit B axles.

Fresher LCA's.

Last wheel came in.

My car feels great. Tracks straighter, it doesn't have a dead spot, I notice a lot less camber and feel more tire on the road, it doesn't oversteer on hard corners and snap back - very stoked on that. I actually got the rear end to break out on a tight corner and keep it pretty controlled, that means the front sticks harder I guess. The stock brakes from the donor car SUCK. The passenger caliper is a little bit seized on the pins so the car dives on braking. While under the car I noticed huge slop in the intermediate shaft and it makes noises. Little shit but I just want the tires on.

Cool. Can't wait to see some pictures with the wheels and tires on. As far as control I'd imagine you had too much camber before from the DA knuckles and no front camber adjustment? New tires will def help too :x.

Yeah way to much camber and the tie rod ends mounted different so when the suspension went up it toe's in, when the suspension compressed it toe'd out.

I spoke too soon, I think my tie rods are wiggly which is making slack in the steering. :(

I put tie rod ends and upper ball joints on mine when I did the polyurethane bushings 3 years ago. Did lower ball joints this go-round with the engine swap.

Another set of axels won't be too far down the road. Boots are starting to get a little dry looking and showing some small cracks forming.

Better get those ends fixed ASAP or your new tires will be ground to shit in no time and that sux. I wasted a pair of Nitto's a couple of years back - just after I did the bushings - making a right hand turn out of a driveway, cut it too short to stay in inside traffic lane and the right rear dropped into a huge pothole that bent the RH lower arm and/or spindle. Wore the crap out of the whole tire set + rear wheel bearings from the constant side load. I adjusted the compensator arm and even put washers on the top to correct the rear camber so I could drive it a little before replacing the arm. It helped, but it was so far out of whack, in 90 days time the tires were trashed. Of course, your situation should be limited to the front pair.

Upper BJ's on mine are fine, I'd get Skunk2 adjustable ones first though. Have you done Poly bushings everywhere? Thats something I wanna do. One of my axles is ripping and spraying grease on the back of the motor. I have tons of EF parts around, I'm sure I could scrounge up a pair of good tie rod ends, like the LCAs I found. :D

Polyurethane bushings are pretty much everywhere including the shift linkage. The only thing that's OEM rubber are the front upper "A" arms. A PITA to change out so I replaced them with new ones. I think the upper rear arms are also OEM neoprene now that I think of it. They too were also replaced with new parts.

Front and rear LCA's, trailing arms, radius rods, shift torque rod and the rear linkage support were all done. Getting the large bushings out of the rear trailing arms is a bit of work - I drilled them out and sawed, then cleaned up the holes with a good sanding drum. The LCA's were taken to the machine shop to get the MF's out. Installing the Energy Suspension bushings was pretty easy for the most part. I do remember using the hydraulic press for the large one's in the rear trailing arms - maybe pressed in a couple of others. If you opt for it just have them done at the machine shop unless you have a press. Not too expensive.

Lot's of work to do bushings - but, worth the effort. It tightened up the ride real nice and mine isn't lowered. KYB struts on it.

I put polyurethane exhaust hangers on it a few days ago as there have been problems with the "ROL" replacements supporting the 2.5" stainless exhaust system.

Poly's rock - worth the effort for sure.

I have lots of worn bushings so when the money permits I'll do it.

New tires rock!!! logged 300 kms on them, they seem broken in. I've never felt this car handle so awesome esp with the new front end aswell.

Not at all, they did when I had the coilova's slammed (Matt still hasn't posted pics of that) and you can see the flaked paint from the stage I went through. :(

I love the ride height now, I clear everything and the tire sits flat on the road. :)

Did tie rod ends, if I get off work early enough tomorrow it will be aligned. Still can't get over the ride quality, and every time I get out I feel the tires and they're prettty warm lol.

nice job man!
man that cancer looks bad though. good luck tackling it in the future.

nice to see your progress. Mine is a few days from firing up.

I hateee the rust and the dented body from my stupid crash, the car looks beat but only those two rust spots. I just don't know where to start.

And cant wait for your start up!
