Yup... i have quite a few tattoos here and there.

Been fishing a couple times in the last week... First I took my new little jon boat bassing machine out on its maiden voyage. It was a windy day, but the bass were attacking schooling baitfish in open water. I was able to pick up 18 fish, all caught on crankbaits. Heres a couple pics from that morning.

A few days later we flew up to Pennsylvania for a wedding, and I managed to get a morning of fishing in. I had never caught a smallmouth bass before, so this was really a treat. My fiancees uncle has a great river boat, rigged up with a jet drive motor and every other bell and whistle. I had never fished a rocky northern river like the Susquehanna, it was really fun. Caught some nice fish too, up to a 4 pounder!

Wish I could like this entire thread. I haven't been fishing in years, it's great fun.

Went out last saturday to Alum Creek here in Ohio. Fishing for Crappie. Caught a total of 12, 9 of which were over 9 inches and 3 over 11 inches.

Here's my largest one of the day 12.5 inches. Made some awesome dinner with them.

My girl caught 2 of these bad boys. the other was about an inch shorter.

I haven't been to Alum Creek in a while. I renewed my license last month and still haven't put it to use. :(

May has fucked me over so many times, it's almost insane.

First...the super moon.

With the full moon, all the fish gorged themselves while I was at work...and when I went to fish for them...they were full and had no appetite for any food I had to offer for them. Then all the rivers and bays I go too were abnormally low...couldn't even get my yak into a few spots I can hit normally for a few bites. Then the tide was about deadlow for other times to go out.

The second opponent was the wind.

If I could get in...that breezy bastard kept me out. I got used to the wind, but like today's POS...full west wind and I was fishing on the west shore...couldn't even grab a pole and stay on the yak...

State reg's.... for me to get a black fish, I have to drive up to Rhode Island....paddle a mile out, and locate them in an area I have never fished before.... I still have to catch 40 of those damn fish...and they all have to be over 16"..... My team mates for KayakWars.com have the stripers and winter flounder taken care of... so that leaves me with trying to get the odd fish for the month.

I hate May.

Crappie have been going nuts on minnows. Been going to Big Run Cove and catching them left and right.

Its doesnt always work, but when the crappie are really feeding i have had great luck on small inline spinners. actually outfishing live minnow with them, i think due to covering more water.

Sometimes you just got to grab them by the tails...;)

lol is that a sand shark and a stingray?? looks like you had a great time.

im not an expert on your northern fish, but it looks like a dogfish shark, a guitar fish, and a sea robin to me. must have been bottom fishing!

Went out to Alum Creek again over the weekend. Ended up with a total of 20 Crappie in the freezer. State minimum is 9" largest one was just over 12"

that's the first fish i ever remember catching with my Dad when we use to go fishing when i was little. He took and home and cooked it for me because i wanted to try it, i remember it being really good.

Bottom fished, and yes..6-7 dogfish, one skate, 2 sea robins, and some croaker I've never seen.

I used to catch a ton of those sharks in West Brook when I had my boat docked down there.

Almost forgot about this thread! Went fishing on the beach this morning and caught three snook. This one was the biggest at 32", too bad they are not in season it would have been dinner.

This snook was a 40" monster that my uncle caught last week fishing by himself on my little 12ft jon boat. It was a light tackle catch, and judging by the story he told, a fight he will remember forever.

This swordfish was also caught last week on a daytime trip. It was on a friends charter boat. They were targeting them, and this 347lb fish was the only bite of the day.
