That's very well rounded, sensitive, intelligent and reasonable for you to say. I'm so glad you've stated your opinion.
The Greeks used to place defective or unhealthy kids on mountain peaks and let them die. Because they felt the same.
Well the ultimate point is that hypocracy is running rampant in the world.
There are lots of depressed people out there. Very few of them take to a gun to kill people. That said, you can't criminalise people because they aren't in good spirits.
ya know cel, you remind me of a guy i work with, very dry sense of humor i can never tell when he is joking or serious.
not saying its a bad thing tho
:g: :sp_ike: :toilet: :shuriken: :alcoholic:You meet Clayton, and you think "Here is a guy that takes everything in stride" . I know better, the military liked him. He is more likely than anyone I know to take out a street gang with a spoon. And no one will find the bodies.
There is simply no way of telling who will snap. There is no way of measuring it at all.

So appearances are always deceiving. You don't know - you just don't know.
When it comes to death, I feel that a healthy attitude is "I can go at any second". Be it from a bomb, shooting, car wreck, or a meteor strike. And because of that, whenever a parent sends their kid to college or down to the corner store for milk - each has the same possibility of being "the last time".
Everytime your friends leave your house. Whenever your parents go to work. It can happen to anyone, at anytime.
It's important, while not condoning, but to understand what this kid went through to bring him to this point. It's important to lot hatred get in the way of making sense of the situation. When you can make sense of it, then you are free to pass judgement.
But the world, en masse, has this sort of "judgement" thing going on. No one cares about facts nor about sitting down to figure shit out. By 2:00 pm people were calling for laws to be changed, the usual video-game, metal music, gun-haters were to be heard from immediately, before the dust settled.
And that's wrong on many levels.
Listen, I'm a whack job. Like totally. The world is very different in my eyes than most. I would believe a UFO sighting to be intelligent alien life before I could believe that an asian kid shot up a school - But even I have the self control to really examine things before spouting off comments, theories or what I believe to be 100% fact.
Don't be part of that "shoot from the hip" camp of people that are so quick to use any event as a way to promote their agendas.
w0ot!!! In the tower? With my brothers Kimber maybe, with my dads Contender...oh yea. I carry a Glock 26 too small for good range. But from what I hear, local hunters actually came down to the sight and keep his head down, if not the body count would have been higher, but...I don't know anyone that was there, so whether that is true or not is speculation.a pistol aiming at a sniper position in a tower? I don't think theres a single person on this forum who could have picked him off (with the exception of maybe b16vx or wykedSnyper. ), especially with a hand gun.

I think Timothy McVeigh is about all.
I think the only round cheaper is .22what about ammo? I heard 7.62x39s are already going up due to countries in the middle east stocking up.
I disagree. Go watch 'Bowling For Columbine'... it's pretty interesting and is on topic with this discussion. The laws of probability say the odds of gun related issues will decrease when the number of guns are decreased.
sadly, i agree with clayton on this. there will always be someone breaking records. other copycats. people who want attention or just plain snap. one day we will see a 100 death shooting. It was a sad day that will yet go into our history books, but another shooting will happen....it will not end here.
the only way to prevent this will be in 2054 when we have a "Pre-Crime" unit that predicts it, i.e. "Minority Report".
