When the price goes down on K's...it'll be because of a faster motor out there :). Maybe a "j" or a "a" who knows.

H22's just seem like too much of a hassle into a civic. Difficult to install gotta modify the engine bay for it to fit plus it's heavy and redistributes weight and makes cornering harder and....yea. You could build/turbo/tune a D to have more hp and it'll be lighter, faster, and cheaper, with a lot less trouble :). That's what I'm trying to do.

there not difficult to instal, thats a myth, and the wieght isnt that much, i heard you dont notice it compaird to a b18c, u jus need some good shocks , and d series i dont know much about , arnt the sohc v-tech ?

D-series are the stock motors most civics in America come with except the Si's. The D16z6 (92-95) and D16y8 (96-00?) are sohc vtec and the rest are just garbage. Parts for D's are cheap as hell compared to other engines so you can easily make high numbers with a D.

$3,000 - B series complete swap with all misc parts n shit - MAYBE 170 hp (130-140 whp)

$3,000 - pistons, rods, block guard, machining costs, turbo kit, tuning time at the dyno, other parts for your stock D16z6 - maybe 300 whp?

300whp for $3k on a D-series?

:bs:

Blanco never came close to 300 hp.
You're talking about guys who do all their own fab. work and can get turbo parts for cheap. Joe Blow will never make 300 hp on $3K
Not for more than 3 dyno pulls anyway.

:)

Yea didn't include the price if you have EVERYTHING done by a shop but come on what's the point of building a Honda if you're not doing it yourself?

The point is, you didnt include the price of everything even if you are doing it yourself. Once you build a 300 whp D series, come back here and tell us how much you spent to get there.

I posted an estimation. It could be +/- one or two hundred. and when I get the money for my build I will post the total cost of everything. Just gotta wait a couple of years since I'm poor

I still think you're a little off with you estimation. +/- $100 or $200 might buy some rice parts (like the ones in your signature), but it definitely won't be the difference between reaching 300whp or not.
