What do you save per month?

i save absolutely zero. after all the bills at the end of the month i barely have enough to buy a dollar menu cheeseburger. it wouldn't be so bad if i didn't own a gas guzzler for a car
Sounds like me. I jsut got a new job making a little more, so I am right on the verge of being able to start saving a couple hundred a month. Lately at work I haven't eaten any lunch, and my dinner has been rice a roni and cup o noodles.

This could get messy for me.

Summer is the best time for me to save money, but summer is the time when I actually go out so I spend 'more' doing that.

But anyway, last I knew I had 191 in my savings. I had over 400, but with the gas/electric bill jumping up during the winter, it ate away at my funds.

I used to save 200 a check. Now I'm on the college student plan.

Run out of money every 3 months and call dad.

i gave up on saving.

why save and earn 3% when i have bills that charge me 7% or more?

putting away to earn 3 or taking off to not pay 7... seems simple to me.
I have a rainy day fund, but nothing more.

saving 'cash' IMO, is pretty dumb, especially the way the dollar is worthless and getting more worthless by the hour.

gold is up.
silver is up.

but i've been slinging that for years and no one cares :)

Crack is up. My neighborhood is too soft for me to sling that :/

in case ya didn't see it.

it was in the 600's this time last year. not a bad ROI

How much cash do you save per month after all expenditures?

My wife and I on average are saving between 2,5k and 3k per month after the following:
  • Mortgage $1900 (we pay 300 extra ea/month)
  • 2 Vehicle Notes $800
  • My Student Loan $150
  • Two Card Payments (Amex Green and Wifey's CC ) ~500
  • Stock Contributions $500
  • IRA Contributions $200
  • Disney Property $200
  • Utilities $600
  • Gas $320
  • Groceries $250
  • Entertainment $600
We have a savings account on the checking for a rainy day fund and then the bulk is in a Money Market Account...

What's your position?

On The Bottom , most of the time

With gas prices like this, I can't save shit!!!

this has inspired me to do a budget thread. maybe some of you financial geniuses will chime in and help me get my funds in order. In the next few months I will be living on my own again for the first time in 2 yrs. Except this time it's just me and my son, no s/o. Soon as I have a good half hour to type some things in I'll get it up (gotta finish up my work first)

here and B's other site, SavingsTalk.com are good.

thanks for the link. I forgot about that site. Well, I guess I'll head over there when I'm ready. Sorry for the interuption, now back to the savings.

I agree, how bout money green? it would go along well with the topic of the forum.
there are people who get paid a lot of money to analyze visual imaging and colorations. i think blues/reds/golds rate the highest. i'm not sure where the green is.

The same reason I can't talk about money over there is the same reason I can't talk about politics at the political site... It just doesn't feel right compared to here. :D
