i think i know what my little "clunk" noise is when i let off the accelerator. in all the articles i have read, it says you are suppose to trim back your stock exhaust a little when you use it in your swap... but we didn't, and i can feel the clunk right under my feet, close to where the exhaust...

just wondering if i was crazy, but it seems like my DOHC vtec is at higher rpms during normal driving, than the sohc non vtec. is this normal? like at 100 mph, i am in 5th gear and around 6k rpm... where as the sohc non vtec motor at 100mph was at 5k rpm. could it be my tach is off?

i just did this swap, and i am by no means honda swap guru... but from what i understand, you will NEED to use your wiring harness, or a wiring harness from an ex of the same year! you should not have half as many problems i did, since you have vtec already!

just recently did a 99 SI swap, into my 96 dx coupe. I am using the dx engine harness and an obd2a to obd1 conversion harness. i have to repin my dx harness, but how do i pull the pins out with out doing damage to them? is there a trick to it?

i just recently swapped a 99 SI motor into my 96 LSI coupe (euro spec dx, with ex luxuries). the swap was succesful, but i am having problems. when i try to keep the car under 1-3k rpms, the rpms sputter (go up and down, over and over) it almost sounds like i'm doing it on purpose. i have to...

not sure how much that is going to help me out??? i am running an obd1 p30 ecu (with conversion harness) onto an obd2a wiring harness???? another question... i have to hardwire another plug, the one right near the alternator??? but i don't know what the plug is, or where to run it into the ecu...

(this question is for a friend), but can you use the wiring harness from a DOHC VTEC motor (when swapping a DOHC VTEC motor into it of course) in a 96-98 civic? i was told that you HAD to use the stock wiring harness with the car, but my friend seems to think this is not true???

still need to wire up vtec... the single green w/ yellow stripe wire, but where does this one pin into the ecu?

it only took five minutes to do it, vs. trying to hardwire another wire!

we connected the bracket from the d16 alt, after shaving it down a little and bending it forward just a tad, to the bracket on the b16 motor!

i am far from an expert, but i just swapped a 99 Si B16A2 into my 96 coupe. You are going to have to extend the o2 sensor for sure, and wire it up for vtec... my injectors harness worked fine... i am also using an obd1 p30 ecu, with the jumper harness. sorry i wasn't much help...

well, i went back and checked it today, and the radiator was bone dry. so i filled her up, let her run for a while, and continuously filled it till it was full. she ran home with no temp problems. how soon should i get a bigger radiator???? is it "urgent?" as for vtec... we have the plug...
