I have a Civic SI Guage Cluster and I noticed that the fuel guage needle doesn't seem to be dropping much every time I drive. I have driven over 140 miles and the needle is still more than 3/4 and a little less than full. It's weird. Normally, I would be close to half tank by 140 miles...
Well, it will start, but it usually takes awhile. If I start my car in the morning, it cranks for about 5 seconds and starts the car. But sometimes, it takes longer so I try to crank it again and it starts up right away. I want it to start up right away on the first crank. It starts up fine...
The radiator fan is working properly. It always turns on when the temp rises. It's been kinda warm lately so the overheating is more noticeable. I think I am burning coolant because my overflow tank always seem to be low.
Also, turning on the heater or AC doesn't do anything. The temp guage just keeps climbing at idle. I just changed the thermostat to a brand new one from the Honda dealership. I doubt it's the thermostat. Even if I move a little (less than 5mph) while the car is in gear, I can see that damn...
Hehehe. Thread jacking? Well, at least his problem is similar. When I took the Greddy radiator cap, it popped so I think it had a good seal. No white smoke, the car runs and idles fine. It just overheats. I haven't flushed it. How exactly do you flush it? I did change the coolant. :(
It's definitely not the fan because it turns on when the car starts to overheat. I have a feeling that it could be an air bubble inside. What's an easy way to get it out? Leave the radiator cap off and let the car idle? Also, do you think the temp guage needle is messed up for some reason...
My car overheats in stop and go traffic. The temp needle goes up if I'm just idling. However, as soon as I put it in gear and move forward, the temp needle goes back down to normal temp pretty fast. It never overheats when I'm cruising on the freeway. What's up with that? I notice that I do...
Well, I figured it out. One of the wires to the 2nd injector (3rd cylinder) was loose. I extended the wire. Yikes! So the injectors were fine, just the wiring. Thanks for everyone's help.
I didn't get a chance to take a look at the second injector from the left, but I took a picture of an injector that seems to be working okay. Is this bad or does it need to be replaced?
So it's the 2nd one from the left facing the front? I'll check that injector. Sorry, I have to ask because I hear crazy stuff about the order of which cylinder is which on cars.
I have a 99 turbo LS civic and I uninstalled it back to stock because I need to smog it. It is BAR'd and should pass fine, but I'm now getting a CEL. It's a code 73 (Cylinder 3 misfire). I didn't have a CEL with the turbo on previously. The timing is back to stock. I plugged in the O2...
