I will get engine pics up soon. I will also take a couple new pics with the stock side skirts.
The seat height is perfect, I think. It is slightly higher than stock, but I am 6'2" and it doesn't bother me at all.
b16hatch: My car wasn't really built for speed. Like I said, I have a lot of...
The front seats do not bolt on...need to make a few brackets and drill a couple holes. Not difficult though.
Thanks for the compliments on the car. I have put the stock sideskirts back on, and I think it looks better. They are also painted silver.
I agree that 17" wheels are too big for this...
Here are some pictures of my car. I have been working on this vehicle for the past year, and now it is finally ready! Without the help I received from HondaSwap.com, I couldn't have gotten very far. Thanks!

When I hit around 70mph, something on the front end starts shaking. Not very badly, but it's not good! What could be causing this? I know my bearings are good, my axels are new, and I know my tires/wheels are balanced (both are new). What else could be wrong? thx
I am running Eibach ProKit springs now. I just took my camber kit off, and installed the stock pieces. The wheels still look completely level to the eye. These Eibachs really do not lower the car very much, so I am thinking it is ok to drive this way. I have cheap tires on now too, so I think I...
I previously had Dropzone coilovers installed on my civic, so I installed a camber kit because of the low drop. I got so tired of those terrible coilovers though, I melted them in an old oil drum for the amusement of seeing them die. Then, I installed Eibach ProKit springs. Now, my question...
TommeyTheCat, you sound like the God of car Audio! Where'd you learn all this stuff anyway? Awesome... Thanks for your input. Thanks to everyone else as well.
Well, I'm still undecided. But I am thinking that the best way might be to buy the cargo cover for $80, and mount the 6x9's or 6 1/2's...
I already have Infinity kappa perfect 6 1/2 components installed in my doors, and I have an MTX 10" sub in a large sealed encloser in the back. It sounds really good, but I still want some back fill. I disagree that I won't be able to hear rear speakers with my setup.
I do not have the rear...
What's the easiest and cheapest way to convert my air conditioning system? Call me dumb, but I just learned you cant buy the old freon anymore....except for mucho $$. How about driving to mexico? Do they still sell it cheaply there? Just a thought...
The reason I do not like the factory location on the eg civic hatchback, is that it would cost around $150 to get the speaker brackets and cover!
I also don't really like the idea of cutting holes in the cargo cover, because I don't have a cargo cover, and it would cost around $80 to get one...
I must have had a wiring problem afterall. I got rid of the clipping problem after rewiring everything with an amplifier install kit from Walmart. $24, good deal!
Now the only problem I still have is the bad front RCA output from my HU. =( I think I am just going to use a couple y connectors...
I am using 4 guage wire for my power, 8 guage for my ground, 18 guage for my speakers, and 24 guage for my tweeters. Does that sound all right? My equipment is Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1, Infinity 6x9's, and a 600watt MTX 4 channel amp.
Thanks for the input.
I do not think my speakers are bad, because I tried my 2 channel Pyramid amp to drive them, and everything worked as it should (no clipping). The clipping problem is with the MTX amp. I just don't know if I am doing something wrong in the installation, or if the amp is...
Okay, I tried lots of things today, and here are the problems:
The constant buzz I was talking about is not constant, it changes with the engines RPM's. The strange thing is that the noise only comes from the front speaker RCA output at the HU, not the rear. So, is there a way to fix this? It...
okay, thanks for the info. I'll look into groundings etc tomorrow.
Okay, all my power ratings are kosher. My 4 channel puts out 75 watts RMS per channel, which should be great for my infinities. And I have a gain control on the amp, so that I can adjust depending on the power output of my...
It is a constant buzz.
I didn't plan on running a sub off the front HU RCA output.
If I do have a problem with the HU, then I guess I can just run one RCA cable from the rear RCA output, and buy a Y-connector to connect it to my 4 channel amp. I wonder why my front RCA output would be bad...
Okay, I will try that vtecsir1. But, I don't think that can be my only problem. The rear rca output doesn't cause the noise, but the front does. It's strange. I hope my headunit doesn't have a problem.
