    A couple of questions.

    1. How wide and sweeping was this corner?

    and...

    2. How fast were you going that you shouldn't have been going?

you know that when you see a deer i was told its best to AIM STRAIGHT AT IT. recently moving to NC i deal with them a lot now and one of the first things i was told wasto aim straight at them. i called them retarded until i actually did it and the deer bolted one direction and i didnt end up in the ditch. i dont know if your really supposed to aim at them, or if the people saying to do so are just trying to get the habit of people yanking on the wheel out of their head. probably because most people cant really control their cars when they get a little sideways and overrcorrect. not saying im a pro but my dad taught me when i first got my license how to drive on ice when he randomly yanked the wheel. we did that until i could gain control everytime. most dont have such a psycho dad though lol

If there is a dead deer in the road and you're doing 30, try hitting the brakes. Its the pedal between the accelerator and clutch pedals.

I don't know if it's the same way, but one of my old insurance companies told me that it is better to hit the deer than it is to have an accident trying to avoid one--without hitting it they wouldn't cover anything.

My view has always been, if there is an animal in the road I'm going to hit it before I total my car by swerving off the road, I don't even have second thoughts I drive straight for em.

I agree with telling Bambi to F off.

A few years ago (when I was 19 ironically) I did not have a car and I worked at McDonalds and my dad had to give me a ride home when I got off at night.

One unfortunate night, a small deer ran out from no where and my dad managed to turn away slightly.

    To paint the picture.
He was going uphill. Speed limit was 45mph (he's always driving speed limit.) He had ABS on his Chevy Astro.
End result was the headlight housing got cracked. He was pissed because - get this - the deer body wasn't anywhere he could see it and he wanted to take it home to eat >_<

Sometimes, I think my dad's still too damn Mexican for his own good - lol
