WERD. They have that gay-ass 'new-beetle' but I want the old beetle.

Not to mention they're waaayy cooler, cuz of the Mid/rear?-engine Rear drive layout...

I have a friend that has a golf. It has the same drive train as the bug. Its a piece of shit. the transmission is going to shit, its got no power. very slow response time, and it has a completely sealed transmission, no way to check he fluid in the automatic.

A few more highly modded american classics.
The spoiler is "different" but necessary for what he was doing. It was in Popular Hot Rodding a while ago. Took me forever to find pics. I need to find the article. Edit: found one. And PHR's

Damn, I missed a lot.

EG6, badass bug. I wanted mine to look like that, accept with a candy apple red and cream two tone paint job. Original style with the cream under the side windows, between the fenders.

Lol, at the Cosworth Model A. Thats pretty badass.

Project F-Bomb is a monster, The build videos of it are cool to watch.

That Nova is teh win. Id like to see it make a pass.

Good god, that Nova is holy shit cool.

Yea. And if you havent seen anything about Rotrex friction driven superchargers, they're pretty damn cool themselves.

Heres what they've got to say about them.

The key advantages of the patented traction drive design are:
Torque-on-demand
Speed up to 250,000 rpm
Efficiency up to 98 percent
Compactness
Reliability
Low NVH
Low cost
And heres a car that comes stock with them.

The Stage two kit also takes the Civic Type R from 197hp to 420... :D

I just watched the Model A video... you'd have to be sick in the head to enjoy riding in it. I bet it's scary as hell under full acceleration.

Looking through the site it's obvious they spent a lot of time and effort into making the car handle the power, but being that far off the ground on those tiny contact patches with that kind of power to weight ratio would make me skittish at best.
