Its not gay at all! I have a carbon kevlar Password JDM intake just sitting in my Si. Homo...

You'd like that, wouldn't you?

No, probably not. Check eBay. I'm sure you could get them for 50% off on there.

I ordered pistons and cams today:)

Pistons are PCT (CTR) replicas made by Nippon Racing. I would have gone OEM but I have no way of ordering JDM parts through work. I can only get stuff in north american warehouses:(. Those pistons in my current setup will put the static compression ratio at 12.8:1. Too damn high.. To offset it I'll be getting a thicker cometic head gasket. I still need to crunch the numbers myself as I don't totally trust the online calculators. I want to hit 12:1 or just under.

For the cams I decided to go with a used set of skunk2 Stage 2's. It has a stock-ish low cam profile and a very aggressive vtec lobe. This will allow me to have excellent idle characteristics & maintain decent fuel economy when driven normally.

that is really high for daily driver but you could always go get the aem methanol kit if it came down to it. just a suggestion. I'm at the point in my build where I'm deciding which pistons as well.

Oh, so was going to mention on the phone last week... I ran 12.8 daily driven with no problems. Don't know if you get 93 octane though.

Updates?????????????

Some:

The head is back together. Got the new valve seals in & had to replace one of the valves (didn't want to slide into the guides easily). The block is bored. Still waiting on the hone to get done, the rings to be gapped, and the pistons pressed onto my rods.

The cams I ordered ended up being fake. Some generic b series cam with the skunk2 etching on them. The seller on ebay isn't responding so I have to go through ebay buyer protection to get my cash back. In the mean time, I need to either find a set of S2S2 or S2P1's, or I may buy a new set of Blox cams.

I still need to order the head gasket. Once I get to calculating the compression ratio by hand (don't trust online calculators), I'll order it.

Exhaust wise I decided to keep costs down and modify what I have. I'll put a 2.5" replica mugen twin loop muffler out back and some sort of resonator mid stream. Basically I want this sound:

pics of the cams and the skunk2 etching?

Sure thing..

According to the intranets. This hole shouldn't be there

The forged hand-etching. Real S2 cams have a much deeper hand etch & are done before the black coating goes on...

Ebay message I got soon after receiving the cams

Hey man,Just thought I would let you know that those cams you bought from DSM_specialist are fake,I bought the same ones and made him give me a refund,I contacted him after I noticed he relisted them,But I never got a response.

the thing that gave them away was the 2 holes on the cams,The Skunk 2 cams do not have them due to them being made out of iron,Because if you try to do that to iron they will crack, and also the markings on the end of the cams are forged.

Contact Skunk2 if you don't believe me and I have the sellers # if you need it.

Doh. So no exhaust. :( Clutch/flywheel?

No exhaust. I guess I fell in love with the sound/look of the twin loop. Shipping to OH would be a bear too. I'm still interested in the clutch/fw. It's between using your stuff or getting my ITR fw resurfaced and a stock gsr clutch with 40k on it. I'll get back to you in a few days. Work has been busy = no time to handle my hobbies.

that video sounds like more intake sound than anything... i think a quiet exhaust with a nice tone on a honda sounds far better than any fart can! :D

Keep it up Colin... sorry to hear about the cams :(
