well, i didn't sleep again last night... not by choice or insomnia... but because of work.

i tried to crash around 530, and all the caffeine i inhaled all night to stay awake wouldn't let me fall asleep. around 645 i said fuck it and jumped in the shower and drove in to the office.

i'm here at the office now, and i'm drowsy as hell.... and the work day hasn't even started yet.

    So,

I'm taking bets at what time i pass out in my chair :D

its almost 9 now... i have a cup of coffee in hand...

I'm thinking that once i eat something (lunch) i'm done for. especially if its a high carb meal... lol

    deadlines own me.

I built a fortune 500-level company (in terms of sales volume) from a PSD into a full e-commerce solution in 5.5 days.

I still have some stuff to finish up (B-pages like FAQ, contact, etc) but the cart is 100% up, running, functional, and will be taking orders by this afternoon unless we have some serious bugs that haven't been found yet.

yeah but you'll go home and try to sleep and end up laying there diddling yourself.

Take a nap in the break room.

this is sounding highly plausible. we just ordered some pizza's... so by 1, we should be done eating, and then mosey on over to my desk and pass out in my chair for a bit.

I would definitly recommend a nap before the conference call if you are going to need to sound coherent.

I feel signifigantly better from just an hour or so, granted that I have some "wake up" time in between. Also, you don't have the luxury of a bed.

I saw take a long "smoke break" and nap in the car.

ya know, this got me thinking.

how do those deadliest catch guys do it? 36 hours straight....
i'm just sitting in a chair and i'm exhausted.
    they are lugging 1000lb pots....

i guess the money is a huge incentive. its what, 300 bucks for an average filled pot split out per deckhand??

at least with comissions, the harder you work the more you make.

me, whether i'm sitting on my ass posting on HS all day, or working 4 days pretty much straight... i get paid the same.

i guess it all balances out in the end.

the real problem is that our junior developer is off for 3 weeks getting married.

and our ad for a 3rd developer hasn't been answered by anyone even worth interviewing really.... we have plenty of work for a 3rd person, just can't find any one.

so its just me for 3 more weeks :(

Yeah but if no business no money.

I could work my ass off reading up on our vehicles to answer any questions someone might ask. But if no one comes to buy a car you cant sell one.
