got the front springs swapped only today. what a PITA. also my swaybar endlink bolts are frozen, so we couldnt take the struts out. i improvised... ended up welding the allen key to the endlink to hold it while we tightened it back up. thank god i have a welder!

2009 and frozen bolts already.. reason #475646435298346 why CA doesnt suck.. hell.. 89's dont even get frozen bolts.. lol

Its the liquid salt that they use up here that is supposed to be so great for everything.

I thought that you got this car so you didn't keep having to work on a car all the time?

We have the liquid salt (Brine pre-treatment) down here too, and I don't have any issues.

Also: yeah, me too, this was supposed to be his "I don't have to do anything to it" car.

you guys are right. i dont HAVE to do anything to this car.

that being said, the TRD springs, swaybar, and chassis bars are the only performance modifications being made to the vehicle.

that also being said, toyota is going to be replacing my endlinks, free of charge under warranty/recall repair in favor of a shanked design that eliminates the allen key completely.

i'm not so sure it is whatever they put on the roads. all the other bolts even with light oxidation came free with no hassle at all. the entire job was about 1 hour for BOTH sides, add in the 20 minutes it took to disassemble the cowl and wipers to get to the struts, and the 3 hours fucking with those stupid 17mm/6mm bolts for the endlinks on the strut. entirely too happy i have a welder in my aresenal.

got one of the back springs on and the TRD bar on also. lower shock bushing sleeve is frozen to the chassis.

but this helps dull the pain. GOOD BYE drive-by-wire delay!

correct, and just like the emanage would, it modifies the signal.

i'll be able to log the change and document the increased response percentage. from what i know so far, the ECU doesn't "learn" over this setting because it is static.

just went and plugged it in and compared the wave to a signal without it plugged in. its a much sharper wave... same result with key on engine on too. logging from fuzzycar :)

got a bigger hammer -
