breaking down my main rig. built it for games, but i never play anymore and i just dont need power of this machine.
first, a pic of CPUz showing the capability of these. I had everything clocked to 4.1GHz Prime/Linx stable. I never really got the hang of i7 overclocking so im sure a more talented individual can crank it further. this was all under water cooling. this rig ran at these clocks for the better part of 3 years without a single problem.

6GB (3x2GB) Corsair Dominator DDR3 1600MHz - $75 shipped
great RAM, never tried pushing it beyond the stock clocks.
Watercooling:
all components have been used in my rig for approx the last 3 years. parts were cleaned annually and no kind of die was ever used in my loop. only used distilled water and a touch of PT-nuke. as with any used WC parts, id recommend disassembly (where possible) and thorough cleaning before use.
Swiftech MCR-320 - $50 shipped
-great rads for watercooling
-a little dusty
-no leaks
-both come with 1/2" barbs
-the 320 is an older model without the "swiftech" pressed into the side like the 220 has. cosmetic difference.
Laing D5 pump - $40 shipped
-1/2" barbs
-non adjustable pump speed
-seemed to delay in starting, or required a reboot/power cycle, if not powered on for a while, otherwise i havent had any issues with it.
Swiftech Apogee XT CPU block 1366 - $OLD
Prices negotiable, but dont low ball me into oblivion. shipped prices indicate shipped to the 48 CONUS. elsewhere may have additional charges.
thanks
