Depends on the reasons. I know people that have done that. Sold their home, quit their job, and started traveling.

    I got married last month.

    No savings

Lots of debt between my car and credit cards.

Have a low paying job in a hospital. I’ve done it off & on for 7 years in between better paying jobs that I end up hating & being miserable in. But I’m miserable now, not necessarily because of the job but because I can’t hardly help contribute to my marriage and my wife makes good money. I’m happy for her that she’s done well for herself, but I just don’t really feel like a man for various reasons.

Sounds like you need a plan to better yourself and are lacking confidence.

Get the debt under control and find something to contribute at monetarily and elsewhere. You married her, so she must be a good woman that believes you contribute plenty.

ok so married pretty much takes the fill up a back pack and bail off the table
no savings and lots of debt is a major stress factor that will need to be worked on
    what is the job?
is there a way you could get yourself advanced in that line of work to something that would be more financially rewarding?
is there something semi parallel to it that you could move in to (perhaps with some schooling / course work) ?

dont let your dissatisfaction with your own personal situation ruin your relationship
    she married you, recently
im guessing that these "problems" did not all come up in just the last month
so its not like she married you to get her hands on the JermBizzle fortune
so dont put so much focus on shit that doesnt really matter much

you want to better yourself and your financial situation? Good, do that. come up with a direction and a plan and implement it
but dont ruin your relationship over some idea of not being enough of a man because you are not bringing in enough money right now

Fuck, I wish I had a sugar momma. I'd play video games all day and take care of the house. No shame here.

Actually though, I don't want to be married. Again.

    Sorry for the thread derailment.

you got married? Congrats. Now, new rules:

    Talk with her about it.
    Tell her everything.
    Don't hold back.

Then see what you both come up with together.

Having a sugar momma sucks. You're held at the whim of their income and their desire to share it with you. You can't spend your own money on what you want, you're a living hostage with no leverage. With a woman having a sugar daddy, she can withhold sex or whatever. Men don't have much of what women want.

Good point. I guess I should say that I'd be fine with not being the bread winner so long as I have money to spend on whatever toys I want.

Thank you guys for your advice, I put a lot of pressure on myself and dwell a lot on the fact that I don’t make much money, but it is what it is and I realize now that she didn’t marry me for that.

Oh, I work in a hospital doing patient transport. Sometimes I feel like a glutton for punishment because I keep coming back to the job, but I halfway enjoy it I guess.

if hospital work / patient assistance is a line of work that you enjoy then follow that
what can you advance to in that line that has similarities
    think about your current job
what do you enjoy about it
what do you not enjoy about it
what do you want more of in that job
how can you align yourself to get that

any interest in moving in to nursing?
men in nursing are always in demand

    what about other areas,
    pharmacy
    radiology
    phlebotomy
    physical / occupational therapy

a lot of these can be gotten in to with relatively minimal schooling and some certification courses / tests
    you are around them already
if you are interested in moving in to one of these areas talk to the people already there, get an idea of how to make the move

If you can get yourself a wheel chair accessible van you can make a fortune in patient transportation to and from doctor's appointments.
And a majority of the people needing those services are on medicaid or similar types of support, so you get paid directly from the gubment.
    Something to look into.

Agree with the above, check your local community college for night classes for nursing degree/certificate.
Get a nursing job while you work on your RN, then be an RN while you work on your PA.
Make great money without the years of medical school and student loans.

That's actually a great idea. If you can figure out how to get a van and move people, and insurance to cover your ass, you can start an empire. Knowing HOW to move people is the hard part, and you have all that.
