im digging the negative camber on the front. my bagged Ranger does that too...lol. i think 2 footaz would be too big. a set of chrome 22s with a nice lip would sic on there. whoever said that a 17/18 combo...nah. too small of a wheel combo. 22s ftw! lol. oh and i have over a foot of drop on my Ranger and i dont lay frame so i think you will have a bigger drop since you are doing a SFBD on yours.

looks good homie. cant wait to see your suspension setup in the rear of the truck. gonna do any type of crazy tube bends or just gonna keep it nice and simple?

Haha I forgot to measure the stock ride height so I really don't know to be honest.

I will either go with the steelie 15s and wide whites or some fuckin' baller ass Intro or Bonspeed 22s but at $4000 + tires...probably not.

THe rear suspension is going to be a basic triangulated 4 link. The bars are going to be made out of 4 pieces, assembled together to form a boxed shape. The sides panels of said box shape will be hole cut and dimple died, especially on the lower bars as these will be load bearing.

Bags are going to be forward mounted, inside the frame with a lever and a link that depresses the lower bar as the bag is inflated raising the truck...aka cantilever but a little more artistic than your basic hacked together set up. The linkage ratios will be 1:1 on both pivots so 4" of lift at the bag = 8" of lift at the axle based on the radius of the lower bar.

check out this months issue of Trucks magazine. there is a '56 F-100 in there thats bagged and has a propane powered 460 in that makes 500hp. it badass

Thanks. I designed them to look like the skeleton of an aircraft. Structural I beam with hole-cuts and or dimples, in keeping with my WWII aircraft theme.

No not really. I would call it a much lighter interpretation. That guy was dedicated to his replication.

Nice. I wish they would show the rear suspension in more of these features. I guess they've all become boring and requisite.

I'm trying. The last few weeks have been slow. I had to fly home for a funeral last weekend and we are moving this weekend. A lot going on. I am working on a couple things though...

I've been moving a bit slowly lately but I accomplished some things today.

I am building a wishbone three link so I made the wishbone:

Cut out the upper and lower plates:

Wrapped 2"x1/8" plate around all the curvature, and the outside with cut outs for the rod ends

Rod ends welded in

I am going to clean up all the welds, inside and out...I only got one corner done

Here's an idea of how it will be situated

That's all for now. I am going to finish cleaning up all the welds and smoothing it out, then I need to build the lower link bars and bag mounts. Then on to the front suspension!
