Hey everyone,

I just recently got another Si Hatch, and I want to rebuild and boost the z6 in it. I've done some research but I'm having trouble deciding what's the best way to go.

I'd like to hit 200whp, and spend maybe 3k, including the turbo and rebuild.

From what I've seen, I can run the motor stock and still hit 200whp safely, so I was thinking just new gaskets, bearings, piston rings, oil and water pump, timing belt, clutch and flywheel.

As far as the turbo goes, I'm not totally sure what I should do. Someone locally is selling two T25 turbos off his 300zx. I know they're small, but are they just too tiny to hit my hp goal?

Any ideas and suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks for your help,
Phil

Hey did you buy that red 1992 Si off of Used Victoria for $800?

You will also have to get it tuned, get your P28 that you already have chipped then go to Zensport and let them work their magic.

I'd actually go talk to the guys at Zensport because they could probably do the whole swap for you.

you can buy vitara pistons and eagle rods for 500 dollars shipped online and they come with all new bearings and rings you will need since you already have a 5 bolt main girdle on the zc with cast iron cylinder walls then all u need is to do ur oil pan with a fitting for an oil return and then go about ur turbo setup. i had the same setup in my old ek and ran 18 lbs of boost with a greddy t3/t4 setup turbo back apexi exhaust p38 intake mainifold with a bigger throttle body with a PnP from a local machine shop on a stock head and had it tuned by a kid named jeff in ocala on a dyno and it pulled 251whp =) and since i already had the turbo kit it cost me just over a grand for everything including the tune doing all the engine work with a friend and myself

infact spoolin93si on the forums has a post 2 pages back and he is selling pretty much everything you would need and just upgrade your turbo =)

haha - Yeah, I did ^_^ Got it for $700. Does anyone ever go on the Zensport forums? I went on a while back and the last post was from April, I think.

I was looking at doing a Vitara/Eagle setup. That sounds good to me. The rods and pistons won't just fit right in though, will they? I'd need to get the block bored and notched?

Thanks for your guys help,
Phil

no i got the parts separate or you can buy the kit off ebay and they just go right in i did no work to my block at all besides change all the rings and bearings when i put them in and just had my block cleaned at the same machine shop that did the PnP on my head =P
