Well, I hit the dyno last night. Let me just say one thing: there's a LOT left in this car. Both Cody (the tuner) and I know this and we're going to go back a couple more times this winter.
Problems I ran into:
1. The place we dyno'd at didn't have a large fan. My car was running hot the whole time, thus not making as much power as it should have.
2. The car's tachometer is messed up. It's reading more than the car's engine is actually turning. So, I basically had a rev limiter at 6k rpms. Boo.
3. This is with NO methanol and only 9.5 degrees of timing @ 20 psi, which is a fairly conservative number. Some cars leave the dyno at 12.5 or more degrees of timing @ 20 psi.
4. My intake manifold is holding me back. I know it. The car should have made more. But, I do think that the RPM's are a large factor in this.
Anyway, here's the graph of my best pull:
319.1whp and 282.5 ft/lbs @ about 6,000 rpms.
Not a bad start, and this thing is an animal on the streets now! My god a 320 hp Civic is a lot more than I was expecting!
Oh.. and the Darton MID sleeve kit is here.....
