THE STORY
Plenty of people know me and the car. I take great care of this car and i DO NOT NEED to sell. im just wanting something different. If you have something that is of more value i have a ridiculous B16 head Stage 2 port job. over-sized flatface valves 5 angle valve job and aggressive cams. i also have most of a turbo kit with a fresh garrett turbo and vband downpipe. oh i also could have cash to add if necessary

And that makes it worth more than anyone will pay for it?

No....I am confused how you made that assessment. The "lol" was expressing the plight us Honda enthusiast are under. We put money in to never see it again. There was no more to my post then that.

new paint = patch panels
betcha

sooner or later its gonna rust
upgrade to the ek chassis, or get one with rust and just drive it
save your money up for a house or a real car, or school

Very true. Every honda I owned always had fender rust. Even after bondo + paint, the rust still came back. Eric is right, fresh paint = los problemos.

92 Hatch $2500
The Car- 1992 civic si hatch rolling shell.... painted Nissan orange (not the tangerine orange), door jams/ engine bay are painted but interior of car is still the old color of the car (black).

Drive a shitcan, then get something you don't have to constantly do stuff to keep it running.

Get a bike, get a slow car, then get a house. Then you can get your project car.

I like the Orange hatch as well. Anyway you can get more pictures of the interior and motor?

No motor....at least thats what I figure. And I agree about a LS transplant. A cool direction to go would be to get a B18B and freshening up the bottom with bearings, P30 pistons, new rings and ARP studs/bolts. Slap some mild cams and a VTEC transmission of your choice and it will run mid-low 14's on street tires all day! With smart shopping and patience....I think the drivetrain can be done for under $1500

I like the orange hatch too. 5-Lug and I like the Type R's its rolling on. And its got old school trust exhaust.....I love it. I do not think they make it anymore. I used to have the same exhuast but muffler blew out. If the door panels, dash, and other black plastics are in good shape...it can be nice and done on the cheap (ex, 94-01 Integra seats are all over the place for less than $300 for front & back)

Buy the taco next to the coupe.
Sometimes I wish I didn't sell my coupe to egproject.

I called him today about that hatch, unfortunatley the exhaust is sold. Im going to look at the car next week, and i talked him down to doing 2k cash plus gas for towing. Its clean, painted engine bay and door sills, he said there was no previous rust, and only damage is a little scuff on the front bumper. Interior is missing the back seats, but he said he thinks he can get his hands on a set for me, other then that no problems. Im stoked, I have 2 motors to put it in when i get it. One is a stock d16 for inspection/emission purposes, the other is my boosted d16z6 out of my CRX. When i get more money ill drop a larger motor in it, but for now i need a good DD.

That car + CF hood, Lip, Trunk, and Duckbill would = sex.

Ill post up more pics if he sends more/ when i see it.

very nice hatch I like it a lot and the color.. good price for as clean as it is and the 5-lug conversion=good score.. and at least you don't have to buy a motor= better score..

:puke:
the car looks good as it sits

leave the painted panels on there... if you want to run the CF parts for weight savings then paint them to match
non matching body panels (CF or not) look like hell
especially on bright or light colored cars where the contrast is that much more defined
unless you are going to CF the entire car, paint that shit
it MIGHT look ok if you were to also get the CF roof panel and just went with a whole CF stripe down the center of the car... on second thought... no... that would still look like shit :puke:

the front lip, and the underside of the duckbill in CF would look good... it would accent the car... it would look finished... unlike leaving entire unmatching panels which looks no different than the assclowns rolling around with their unpainted body kits, Z3 fenders, and scooped hoods
maybe if you got the CF sprayed with an orange tinted clear coat it would tie it into the car better that might make it look more finished

CF for weight savings =
CF for accent pieces =
CF for entire vehicles =
CF as an unmatching color for miscellaneous body parts

just my $0.02
in the end its your car and your money... do what ever the hell you want
