93 Accord TRANNY SWAP

I have 2 full cars both 93 accords one is automatic and one is 5 speed should i be able to bolt the 5 speed tranny right up to the auto's engine?

The responses you got were perfectly reasonable. We're not your servants here. Why should we take the time to re-type something that's explained in detail (with pictures even) a few posts above? If you're too lazy to read it that's your fault. As for the screaming kids, you could wait until they go to bed, but shit...if your kids are so demanding that you can't even get five minutes of time away from them to read something, then how the hell do you plan on accomplishing an auto-to-manual transmission conversion???

On a side note, you need to figure out what the hell you want to do with this car. I saw your other post about not being able to rev past 3500 and the check engine light being on. You also said you wanted to fix the car and then sell it. If the CEL is on and the car is obviously f-ed up, plus you're wanting to sell it, then why the hell are you even thinking about dumping a shit load of time and money into converting it to a 5-speed???

First figure out what you want to do with this heap, and then come and ask your questions...

If you would have read the damn walk through it would have given you the specific answer to your question, and like I said, if you're actually thinking about trying to accomplish an auto-to-manual swap on your own, then YES, you are going to need to do a shit-load of reading and research, and YES, you are going to need a decent amount of time to work on it. If you can't even get five minutes away from your kids then you're not going to have the time or know how to do this, so you might as well just sell the damn car and get a 5-speed if that's what you want.

i have a huge house a two bay garage both bays with lifts i have over 50 grand into tools that have been bought by me my father and grandfather i own rental HOUSING not many trailers around here this has all come from a long line of hard working people in my family not one person in my family has lived off the system so why don't you all just shut up learn something about shit before posting and do something besides make morons of yourselves trying to act smart over the net

Allmost forgot an update

While my girlfriend was at her moms for the weekend with the kids me and my buddy jumped into the project and got the swap don't in a day and a half without anything but the two cars so in that case a real help would have said yea you should be able to or something like that so next time if you don't know anything just don't post on the thread cause your words are just plain useless when you don't know what your talking about

i do have what i said i have i didnt just run out and buy 50 grand worth of tools tho its all built up over the years i work my ass off for what i have with all this that i have im still strapped for cash its all been passed down through the family and now it slowly becoming mine my father has diabeties and is pretty much on his deathbed so now its my turn to pour my life into it and im not just pumping out kids and we are getting married its just not a good time right now with how crazy shit gets outta no where and as bad as it sounds its true that my kids where mistakes i didnt wanna have twins at 17 years old it just happend that way cause of people pushing me into things and talking mad shit and now i look back on it like damn i dont know why kids let shit get to em so easy i shoulda jus said no im fine with not fucking every girl on earth but anyways your probly thinking god damn shut the fuck up so im gunna do that i just wanna say im not pouring all this out to make you feal bad or to make up some BS story im just hoping that the assholes here (not talking about anyone imputicular) will not keep pushing at everything i say thinking im full of shit and making it up

and also not to be an asshole but even if i was rich whats the use of a new car if your old one runs and looks good no matter how new the car is it could brake down just as much as my 93 or 89 the only new vehicle ill probly ever buy is my 07cbr cause honestly i think new cars are pices of shit and id be driving my gramps cuda everyday if gas prices wherent so high

Yeah, that is somewhat true. I usually try and buy used cars from older people because they usually take care of them better and are more realistic about what the car's worth when it comes time to sell. Sorry to hear about your dad. How old is he? My dad has diabetes too, but he's still in good health for the most part.

yea dude old people are the best to go with but most of em round here drive new shiny cars so its hard to fine em thats how i got lucky with my lude tho got it for $350 bucks and i been drivin it 3 years no major problems so far

my dad turns 50 in august which is pretty good since both his parents died in there 40's from diabetes hopefully i got most my moms genes since her parents both made it to late 70's
