Win the Day
So I made my offer on the house I'm buying in Jan, to close at the end of Feb (This Friday actually)
the offer was countered, accepted, inspection ordered and completed quick as a hiccup. Then I got everything the lender needed and gave it to the broker, approved the prelims, they ordered the appraisal the end of the last week in Feb. (I was in the military, I do things really fucking fast)
(next part is as per the mortgage broker who's a family friend) So the inspector, knowing they have till the 29th to close, back burners it until the end of last week. They do the appraisal on last Friday, she comes into work Monday morning and her computer is fragged. Now the paperwork won't be ready until Wednesday (at the earliest), but most probably Thursday.
If that's the case Closing goes from Friday, to no earlier then Monday or Tuesday
Problem is I've already confirmed my delivery date on the appliances Sears is delivering, and I'll have to pay more rent (prolly prorated but I can't clean the place till I move so we're looking at a week at least which is a couple hundred)
so this ladies' negligence has just cost me $300, should I go after her for it?
